Furqan brings a decade of experience to HHLegalCo, gained from working inside the institutions many law firms only ever advise from the outside. As Manager Legal at LMKR, a multinational petroleum technology company with operations across six countries, he drafts and vets contracts for enterprise software and data services, and manages compliance with the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. That vantage point, sitting inside a multinational's legal department rather than opposite it, shapes how he counsels HHLegalCo's clients today, with an eye for the operational detail that determines whether a contract actually holds up.
Earlier in his career, Furqan built and led SMR Law Firm, a full-service practice handling constitutional, criminal, civil, corporate, commercial, banking, family and property matters, while also serving as external counsel to Habib Bank Limited and legal counsel to the Capital Development Authority. He has represented Habib Bank Limited, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited and Pearl Continental Hotels in high-value matters, and holds his LL.B in Corporate Law from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
Furqan believes the best legal advice is the kind that survives contact with a real business decision. He approaches every matter, whether a routine contract or a complex piece of litigation, with the same question: what does this actually mean for the client once the ink is dry?
